To create mango bubble milk tea at home, you need your favorite tea (I like jasmine green tea), milk, and mango nectar syrup. This drink has a caffeine kick and a sweet, tropical aroma. Make it with your favorite boba pearls.

Steeping the tea

First, prepare the tea. Use 2 tea bags for every cup of tea you want brewed.

My favorite tea for this drink is green jasmine tea. I use 2 tea bags per serving. Heat water to a rolling boil, let it cool for 1-2 minutes.

My favorite tea to have this with is green tea, but you can use other teas too.

For green tea, steep for 3-5 minutes.

You can also use loose leaf tea. They are my favorite because they taste better and are best for the environment, however they may be difficult to access. That’s why all my basic recipes use tea bags for ease, unless otherwise specified. Steep a little longer. Here is more about steeping loose leaf tea.

For iced teas

Add mango nectar syrup to the freshly steeped tea because it’s easier to mix this way. Then let it cool down to room temperature. Then you can add ice and not worry about it melting away so fast.

For hot teas

All you have to do is use hot steeped tea, then mix in the mango nectar syrup. Since the water is hot, it will mix easily.

Making Mango Bubble Milk Tea

To make mango bubble milk tea, add milk to your tea.

I usually add a 2:1 ratio of tea milk. 2 parts tea to 1 part milk. I leave room in my cup for boba and sweetener.

My favorite options are coconut milk, oat milk, almond milk, or soy milk. You can use any other options, or your favorite milk. If you want your drink to taste closer to the bubble tea shop, use non-dairy creamer (3-5 tablespoons) for every cup of water. When preparing your drink, use the same ratio with 1 part milk, 2 parts tea.

You can adjust for more or less milk or tea depending on your preference.
