Quick comprehensive guide to making green milk tea.
- 2 jasmine green tea bags (or 1 tablespoon of loose-leaf green tea, or 1 teaspoon matcha powder)
- 2 cups of hot water
- 1 cup of milk (dairy, almond, oat, or cashew milk)
- 2-3 tablespoons of sugar syrup or sweetener of your choice
- Ice cubes
- Cooked tapioca pearls (optional)
Steep the green tea bags or loose-leaf green tea in 2 cups of hot water for 3-5 minutes, or until desired strength is reached. If making the recipe with matcha powder, whisk matcha and 2 tablespoons of water, with a bamboo whisk, until powder is dissolved into water.
Remove the tea bags or strain the loose-leaf tea from the water. If making with matcha powder, you do not need to strain or remove anything; the matcha will be consumed all together.
Pour half of the tea into a tall glass filled with ice cubes.
Add 1 cup of milk and 2-3 tablespoons of sugar syrup or sweetener of your choice to the glass.
Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
If desired, add cooked tapioca pearls to the glass.
Enjoy your delicious green milk tea!
